biografische angaben: Born 1964. Williams grew up in Chicago's Roseland Community. He studied art in Paris, Rome, and Germany and holds a B.F.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana and an M.F.A. from Northwestern University, where he concentrated on large-scale historical paintings. He has taught at the School of the Art Institute since 1990. As an instructor at the Marwin Foundation since 1992, he teaches drawing and painting and directs murals with Chicago public school children. He is an active member of the Chicago Public Art Group, both creating and restoring murals.
