biografische angaben: Born 1868 in Lore City, Ohio, died 1947. American painter. He studied with John Henry Twachtman at Pratt Institute and in Paris. He served in the American Expeditionary Forces in Beane, France, 1919 and taught there at the College of Fine and Applied Art, AEF University. During the 1930s he was director of art for the Chicago Park District and was responsible for the mural decorations in several park fieldhouses.
