biografische angaben: 1906–89. Born and educated in Vienna, Weiner came to the United States in 1938 to escape Nazi persecution. He soon joined the faculty of the School of the Art Institute and was active in Chicago, primarily as a sculptor. He exhibited in Europe and at the Art Institute, and his work is in the collections of Beloit, Rock Island, and Augustana Colleges and the University of Illinois.
