biografische angaben: 1893–1971. American painter. Dalstrom came to Chicago with his family from Gotland, Sweden, when he was seven years old. He graduated from Lane Technical High School and the School of the Art Institute, where he studied with George Bellows and Randall Davey, then spent 1927–28 studying in Europe. He was director of the Mural Division of the WPA's Illinois Art Project.
