biografische angaben: Born 1885 in Kana, Hungary, died 1946. American painter. Trained at the Art Academy of Budapest, in Florence and Venice. He was the official war artist for the Austro-Hungarian government during the First World War. Only a year after he came to the United States in 1921 and settled in Chicago, he won the Chicago Tribune prize in hostorical mural painting, and this became his specialty.
