biografische angaben: Born January 19, 1876 in Montabour, Germany, died April 18, 1924. Brother and companion of Joseph Christian Leyendecker. He studied at the Académie Julian and the Académie Colarossi in Paris and at the School of the Art Institute. He was a painter, illustrator, and designer who also worked in stained glass and was supervisor of the Fine Arts Building mural project in which he participated. He executed a series of monthly covers for Collier's Weekly magazine from 1902 to 1905.
