  This time he [Siqueiros] was directing the two workmen to reinforce the vinylite with strips of Fiberglas that looked like mosquito netting. This new device, he said, would require painting over all that had so far been painted. I asked him whether Diego [Rivera] would be having all this trouble when he begins his mural in the next room. «No. Diego always uses fresco. But fresco won't last. This will. The walls, like all walls in Mexico, will shift, crack, and crumble. But here, all they'll have to do is carry this mural out, or peel off these Fiberglas strips, and there it is, as good as new, in a new building!»
