«Charlotte Schmid studied at Kunstewerbeschule in Zurich, where she obtained her diploma in 1952. With Paul Leber opened up joint studio in Zürich in 1954. Close conceptual and creative cooperation, whereby Charlotte Schmid proposes a more geometrical and abstract graphic design. Recently specializing in three dimensional graphics, planning colour and space décor for architectural complexex and creating three dimensional objects such as 'Radiant Structure' for Osaka World Fair in 1970, often in collaboration with her husband, architect Willi Walter. Commissioned to produce interior and colour design for new train terminal at airport Zurich-Kloten, opened in 1980 as well as for the new administrative headquarters 'Uetlihof' of Swiss Credit Bank. Received federal scholarship for applied art in 1963 and 1964. Joint distinctions with Willi Walter for Osaka Pavilion, 1970, for Christmas lighting Zürich-Bahnhofstrasse, 1971, and with Paul Leber several awards in competition 'best poster' by the Federal Government.» (source: Who's sho in graphic art vol. 2)
