biografische angaben: Dr. des. Barbara Caen (°1986 Belgium) has been a Ph.D student and research assistant for the SNF-project An Iconology of Textile in Art and Architecture from October 2008 to February 2012. She received her B. A. and M. A. in Art History from the Catholic University of Leuven and held a one-year fellowship at the University Paris IV-Sorbonne. Her Master’s thesis examined the first official catalogue of the Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp, published by Johan Alfried De Laet in 1849.
