biografische angaben: Born April 25th, 1966. Lives in Zurich, Switzerland. Professional education as an art teacher, completed in 1993. Worked as a teacher at various schools in Zurich and surroundings from 1990 to 1999. Assisted in various art galleries from 1994 to 1998. Revised the Archives of the Drawing of Children and Adolescents belonging to the Pestalozzianum foundation in Zurich. Worked from 1999 to 2002 as an exhibitions' coordinator for the Museum of Applied Arts in Zurich. Since 2002, Alex Winiger belongs to the staff of the gta Archives of the Federal Technical University ETH Zurich. In 1987 he started to work as a visual artist, with augmented intensitivity between 1999 and 2013. He has four sons.
